The Sikhs then publicly pray on the opposite side of the holy river. We were told that we could photograph the proceedings but it didn’t seem appropriate so whence no photographs. The smell stayed in my nose for most of the day. Pretty horrid really, when unprepared for what was happening. The holy river flows into the Ganges, in India.
