Well we leave Beijing and fly to Xi’an. Here’s a bit of old Beijing and a bit of shiny and new. I’ll check in later.        

This is an ancient burial ceremony route which is lined with twice human sized statues. These statues include human and animal figures. Fascinating.

What a great place this city has been. Today was the best day so far. The Great Wall…. Not an alright wall, as Karl Pilkington puts it. Stupendous. We went to the Badling section of the wall and wow…. See for yourself. Well worth the early start.

Really good show at the Red Theatre. The story of Kung fu. Balloons bursting through plate glass with a pin, sharp swords with nail beds and slabs broken with a mallet and three metal bars smashed over heads. Superb show… Where’s that iron bar.               

Well this was supposed to be an appetiser before tea, which was three hours after lunch! Not hungry, especially after seeing this.
