What a superb sight. The flight to Xi’an was short, thankfully and these sights certainly helped. A little out of chronology but hey.               

It’s hazy and 24 degrees C. The city is sprawling with 9 million inhabitants. We went onto the city wall and had a golf cart ride along the top, it’s that big. Only went from the North gate to the South gate. Really impressive.                  

We’ve arrived in Xi’an and it couldn’t be any more different to Beijing if it tried. Geographically speaking, we’re now bang smack in the centre of China.
